Laura Padilla
Laura is the vocalist, Spanish translator and lyricist for the band. Being from Mexican descent, Laura grew up listening to Mariachi and Mexican music. However, being raised in the U.S., Laura was drawn to American rock music and loved to sing and write songs for as long as she can remember. Laura is involved in various other projects and is a prolific songwriter, lyricist and singer both in English and Spanish. She considers herself a rock, pop artist and can be seen playing in various venues throughout San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Timothy ‘Timoteo’ Mockler
A blues guitarist from Colorado, he came to Southern California and formed the legendary Los Angeles New Wave band Failsafe. Releasing the discs ‘Bravados’… ‘Fistful of Failsafe’ ...and ‘Suicide Bridge’ the band reached number one on dozens of college radio stations throughout the nation. He went on to form the Shy Anne Social Club and the Lazy Blondes…both bands featuring screaming country blues and folk rock as they played the Los Angeles club and concert scene. He plays his trademark Rickenbacker now with the band Los Angeles…a bi-lingual folk rock band.
David Vidal
Davis is also a blues guitarist, David hails from New Mexico but has been playing in Los Angeles for years now. David is also a recording engineer who has worked with the Byrd’s Gene Clark among many others.
David released a disc entitled ‘Everyone Loves Me But You’ to critical acclaim, which features his beautiful voice, great guitar work and his uncanny slide playing. He now plays slide for the folk rock band Los Angeles.
Jake Owen
A professional rodeo rider before playing with some of the top country bands in the country eventually led to southern California, where he has recorded with some of the top country rock bands in LA.
Jake has also toured with top blue grass pickers and the underground cow punk band Pacifico Ramblers. His bass playing is heard today on some of the biggest recordings on the radio as well as in Nashville. Jake helped form Los Angeles during a stint with the Lazy Blondes, LA’s seminal country blues cow punk band.
Kevin Wachs
Kevin started out as a surfer in Malibu when his attention drifted towards the Beach Boys’ surf tunes and playing drums. Kevin’s band Pacific was an LA favorite during the hectic punk era as they seemed to draw bigger crowds than any other band in the area. Kevin also drummed during the legendary Failsafe’s farewell Southern California tour, causing near riots when the barricades broke down…sending hundreds of screaming fans onto the stage. Kevin joined Los Angeles during the initial basic track sessions and ended up staying on permanently on tubs.
Steve Rosenstein
Steve toured Europe and Asia with the jazz swing band The Djangos before returning to Southern California as first chair violinist with the Red River Symphony. During the tenure he also began playing lead guitar with the blues infused Memphis Creepers. Switching back to violin Steve joined Los Angeles as a session soloist but soon was invited to stay as a permanent member.
Scott Standley
A Texas blues guitarist, Scott toured the nation with numerous Texas blues bands before settling in Southern California. Scott has also recorded with the Skunks and the Lazy Blondes before hooking up with Los Angeles. He seemingly has had the same cigarette hanging from his lips for about a decade now.
